I just thought that i would start this thread so people can add their personal experiences of breeding obese boas to it, so that new comers to the breeding world can learn some valuble things on the upsides and down sides to breeding obese boas.
In my personal experience chunky females not obese that are atleast 3 years of age have better results then any age obese animals.
Just add information you know.

I've never bred an obese female and won't. Of course opinions will vary on what constitutes an obese snake.

I don't breed obese boas either. In fact, I've never even had a boa that could be considered obese. I don't think it's healthy for a boa to be that fat.

Fat snakes are not healthy, obese ones are just obscene.
Let the boa grow at it's own pace. Once mature muscle mass develops, be it at 2 years or 5 years of age, then you can consider breeding. And even then only if the boa is without birth defects and has never had any serious illness. Breeding puts a lot of stress on a boa, and the number one priority should be the animal's life and well being, not that it breeds.
