I have had a pair together for awhile, the male was working the female quite nicely and I noticed his left spur area looked odd. So I pulled him to give him a once over and the area around the spur was swollen slightly and coated with dried "fluid".
I was curious to see if anyone has ever seen an issue like this before. My best guess on it is, he has tended to favor laying on the left side and her considerable size could be pressing him fairly hard into the floor and causing irritation when they move. (and of course his misses would flow down thusly explaining the build up of dried fluid)
I've seen a similar swelling in a few pictures over the years, but never seen it here before, so just wanting to get some input. Thanks in advance.
