Hi all! back from lurking, and i have a question!

I have an '03 poss super dh sunglow female that i am attempting to breed with an '04 het albino male.

The two times i've introduced them, the female has immediately urinated in the cage, crawled around for a few minutes, but then settles in and they act normally after that. haven't observed copulation, but i work nights... makes it kind of hard...

Has anyone experienced this before?? Does she just not like this guy, or what? What does it mean!?! haha...

thanks for any answers!!

My females do that too. It really gets the males excited. :o

Maybe they're just laying down scent for the males. :)

that's what i'm hoping, esp. considering this is the female in question:

thanks! she's a poss super salmon (and looks it!) poss dh sunglow, and i've got a het albino male on her, so we should be able to prove both of those!

Sounds GREAT!!! :D

I hope she proves out on both. It would be nice to see how colorful her babies will be. I'm betting they're be "DRIPPING WITH COLOR!!" :D

Is there any action going on between the pair yet? Breeding pictures are always nice. :D

nothing confirmed, but i work a late 2nd shift... so i'm not always there during prime observation times. they've only been together about 2 weeks, but there have been some times where i thought they were at an angle where it was possible but i would have had to move them to be sure. (which i definitely didn't do!)

time will tell!

thanks for the compliments, and there will be more pics in the near future, and i'm getting my website online soon....

Looks GREAT! :D

Now you just have to watch for the swellings. When they start happening they'll be hard to miss. :)

The first one might be subtle, but the ovulation swellings look HUGE and they last 24 to 48 hours. :)
