Ok check this out. I got this male salmon a couple years ago and tried to breed him last year but nothing happened, so I tried again this past season. Well..........he got the job done. Here's the weird thing about him. He's a weird looking salmon don't you think??
Since the guy i got him from told me he was just a weird salmon i thought I would just put him with a normal female this year. It turns out this guy is a SUPER SALMON!!!!!!!!!!!! I never would of thought he was a super because of all the black pigment he has. He was proud papa of 19 salmons!!!!!
who would of thought he was a SUPER
Thanks,
Randy_T.

Weird is one way to put it. Funky, wild and outrageous are some more ways..lol. It does look like a variation of a "paradox" as it were. What do the offspring look like? Where are the pics at?

I havn't taken pics of his babies yet but for now they all look like Salmons but very contrasty. I got him from a pet shop 2 years ago so I have no history on him as far his parents.
What's really weird is that he was a pretty normal looking until his last 2 sheds. He's starting getting lighter and lighter with every shed. I've thought of selling him, but I'm not to sure yet. Do you guys think their is something going on?
what pics do you wanna see of him? eyes? etc..........
what doyou think Jeff???????????

Last year at the Daytona breeders expo I saw a boa similar to yours. I took some pics of it, it was being called a "calico".
I don't remember who had it, but it wasn't for sale.

I LOVE that animal.
I wouldn't be Surprised if he turned out Het Albino.
Most Paradox(Calico's) are albino's.
He's probably double het for Sunglow.
You should breed him next year to a Albino.
The worst that could happen you got Salmons het Sunglow.
The best that could happen is you get albino's and Sunglow.
Maybe even a Paradox like Dad.
Thanks for posting and Good Luck !!!
I have to admit...I'm Ja bit Jealouse and wish I could find such an Awesome boa in a petshop !!!1

Now that guy is definitely weird! Looks like he may even have some Hogg in him. I wish I ran a petshop. People are always bringing all kinds of crazy stuff in there. I heard that the Aztec boas started with an animal that a woman brought into a petshop in Oldsmar, Fl. and just gave it to them. Must be nice. Lol. I have a buddy that produced a paradox albino boa this year. It may even be a Sunglow but it's kinda hard to tell. As she gets older it may become more apparent. My favorite part about her is that she has 1 normal eye and 1 albino eye! Too incredible! He has some preshed pics of her on his website if anyone wants to check them out. It's www.boarama.com . She should have shed by now so I'll get on him to get some new pics of her up there.

Awesome proven breeder BSB! I agree w/ASH LOPEZ... he probably has the ALBINO gene present:cool: . It would not be a bad idea to hold 0.2 for the future..
