Hi guys..

My female bcc had her pre birth waxy turd two days ago now and while 'pushing it out' she accidently(?) pushed out a baby. It's a little female, premature, but getting stronger.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Stll waiting for the rest of them while they soak up all thta yoke!

Thanks

PAul

Sorry but I've never had that happen or heard of this happening. How pre-mature are we talking?

I did have it happen last season. Here is a baby wrapped around the pre birth turd delivered a few days before the rest of the litter:

The same boy about two months later!

WOW, I've heard the phrase "polishing a turd" but I have never heard of "boa with a turd".... All kidding aside, that is a great looking baby. You never would have guessed his meager beginnings:eek:

Hi guys...

Sorry for the late reply... my female still hasn't dropped her litter after 3+ days of passing the little premmie.

The premmie has a quite bad spinal kink at mid-body but is still alive and kicking and hissing at me!! Whats the best option with regards to the kink? Let me know what you think.

The female is looking really skinny (compared to a few weeks ago!) so I'm hopeful for a pile of healthy babies.

Cute baby, and love the markings. The pet store where I do most of my shopping has a 5-6ft female red-tail with a mid body spinal kink. It's only the first one I've ever seen so can't really call it a 'bad' or 'tolerable' kink as I've never seen another one. I'm assuming if the kink doesn't bother the snake then they can grow and live normal lives. Might just keep an eye on the little girl, if she starts to struggle too much and it seems like that kink is gonna get the best of her then you might have to do something. I won't say what to do, as I'm not an expert, plus with just the kink alone I'm not familiar with deformities... so I'm treading on thin ice just making this post. :)
