Jungle Boa ???

I saw this Boa in one of my local reptile shop's, looking at his pattern i thought straight away jungle, he was up for sale for £250 so i bought him. The shop keeper has no idea where he came from neither did the person he got it from. I took him to my friend and he said he looks like an imported Surinam Redtail. What do u think can i call him a jungle?

My first thought when I saw the post was that it would be nothing special, but yours is different. There is only one real "Jungle" line that originated from Sweeden, so if you can't trace it back then you don't really have a jungle.

With that being said. From what I can see in the picture that guy looks very much like a jungle boa. First your going to have to breed him and see if he passes on his appearence to his offspring. If he passes on those traits then I think you could start calling him a jungle. Until then I would just say he is a very cool looking normal

That is very similar to a male that I am expecting offspring from any day (due 2/21/05) and again on 4/8/05

Thanks for the reply Kasper when i saw him i knew he looked special. I am going to breed him with my female Hypo at the end of this year to see if his pattern passes on.

Ratman i cant believe how similar your Boa is to mine very nice, is yours a genetic sripe?

I should know any day if this first female has a viable litter! If not I should know in April! I'll be posting pics so keep an eye out! :'(

I will have to wait until next season as mine are not quite big enough to breed yet.

£250 is approx $400.

That guy looks like a really nice stripe BCI with nice coloring on his head. I would breed him and see if the stripe is genetic. But he was will worth the cost.

VERY NICE!! I think I am gonna have to come visit you one day and come see that for myself!! Really awesome, and the price was relative for such a beauty!! Congrats. Hope he proves out!!
