So I rescued this male hypo about 2 weeks ago, yes can you believe I had to rescue a hypo. Well when I got this little guy he had a huge infection on his head, his head was so swollen that you could barely see his eyes. This infection was caused by a small nose rub that was not taken care of. Well after taking him to the vet having all the puss and nasty stuff taking out of his head he is doing much better. You can see is eyes now, he ate 2 small rats yesterday for me, he has not had any kind of temper even after I gave him shots and cleaned out his wound. Well on to some pics, and don't worry about the white stuff on his head it is medicine.

Can you believe this guy came with papers and everything, the previous owner paid over $600.00 for this boa and this is how he took care of it.

That is too bad. IMO it doesn't look like a hypo. More like a clean normal or pastel. I could be wrong but. At least you saved him though.. He hopefully will heal up in no time. Good Luck

Yea that is what I said when I first got him, but I contacted the breeder which showed me pictures of him when he was born, in a hypo to normal litter. If it is not I really don't care, he is not for breeding. My daughter has taking a likening to him so I am going to give it to her as her first boa.

Well that sounds like fun. Got to get her hooked on boas quick lol. Can't be having her loving Ball pythons lol. I am glad the boa went to such a good person though. Hope you have fun with it. Good luck

He is a great looking snake. It is sad to think that people will pay so much money for a pet and not take care of it at all. It is awesome to see that he will be well taken care of now.

That's a great looking Boa! I hope you have a smooth time nursing it back to health. A fine addition to any collection.

O she has a ball she has had it for 3 years, she has just been wanting her own boa for a while, and when she seen this guy it was all over, she told me I was not allowed to adopt it out like I do my other rescues.
