This is the Boa known as the "Monster Tail":

She was born to a pair of Colombian Boas owned by Joel DuBay in about 1993. Joel would taunt me with this Boa until the day he wanted a little cash and offered her to me for the princely sum, at the time, of $500. I had $500 in his hand so fast it made his head spin. This was before the days of high price Hypos when other than Albinos, no Colombian Boa anywhere would have sold for more than about $200 so I was crazy to have paid that much for her. I have no regrets about it now though... She was either dubbed by me or Joel as "The Monster Tail" both because of her obvious overwhelmingly long red tail and her attitude which has always been nasty. We can't remember who named her.
It is her offspring and offspring of her offspring etc that are the animals that are legitimately called "Monster Tails". The name is the name of the bloodline rather than a description of a characteristic. I hope that helps. Her Hypo descendants are arguably the best of the Hypos out there. I have a couple of them and hope to make more and more in the future. I love the Monsters!

Do you know what happened to her parents?
Does Joel still have them?
I would try to make some more!
Her genes are strong!
