I still cant find any info on nicaraguan boas. I am guessing they are the same as most BCI's but i would like to make sure befor I purchase some. Let me know if you know where to find some info or tell me if you know anything about them.

What would you like to know? They can be kept the same way as colombian b.c.i.
although some are not as mild mannered which has given nics the notoriety as being mean. Not all are :) I keep a small colony that are wonderful.

Try Burke Reptiles (Tom and Amanda Burke), Cutting Edge Herpetological (Vin Russo), and Boa-constrictor.com (Hermann Stoeckl) for information.

Hope this helps a little,

Amie

I'm not really surprised, he's probably quite busy. Nics are not that difficult to keep. Some can be picky feedrs. Often they will only take live mice/rats and some just refuse rats all together. Currently I have 4.3 (I had more but sold them). I email Tom and Amanda occassionally and they are both good about responding.

Vin Russo has great stock and amazing animals. I think it would be worth the effort to try and get a hold of either him or someone who works with him.
