Does anybody add calcium or any other vitamins or anything else to there thawed rats. I was talking by somebody that they add calcium to there thawed rats because it helps the boa and because they loose some nutrients when they are frozen and then thawed.

its definatly not needed but i mean i dont thnk it would hurt the snake. as for losing nutrients i dont think calciums would be the problem but maybe vit. b thiamine at least in vegatables if frozen they lose the thiamine i dont know if that applys to rats. but eather way they dont need any thing put on um.

We have injected our rats with a solution of Nekton Rep (vitamins) a couple times a year and have seen no ill effects yet.
