Well my gravid female had her pre birth waxy stool today, so i was pretty excited, and then about 2 hours later, i heard some sounds coming from the cage and i went to have a look. And i found this..

She went 111 days after ovulation before dumping these, she did not have a post ovulation shed..
There was the 2 babies in the picture above, but they were not all the way formed, but were still breathing. and only lasted about 5 minutes. So far i have counted 30 slugs and the 2 not fully formed babies, and she is still got a few more to come out yet..

If they would have been full term, she would have had a first litter of around 35 babies.

Not much i can do about it, so i will just try her again next year, and see how it goes..

Uggh!!!!!!!!!! I went through that with my first breeding! It really floored me. Sorry to hear about that.
There is light at the end of the "tunnel". I had two litters of slugs before I had my pastel babies. It really is worth deeping with it. Because once you have a healthy litter............You're hooked! nothing beats the birthing process.

Aww so sorry to hear about that, best of luck with her in the future though. Its never a good thing to have lost out on a whole litter of them.
