Breathing

So I have been hable to here by Boa breath from time to time, I took him to the vet to find out just what the problem was and they told me it might be a respitory infection, they took cultures which came back normal I gave him all the antibiotic shots I was supposed to, and I still have the same problem I can still here the breathing from time to time. So I took him back to the breeder I got him from and he told me that when they gain weight they will take deep breaths when they start moving alot and not to worry about it, and he let me hold his boas which are a little over 7' long and over 60 pounds and they were doing it to. Does any one else have this problem?

If your vet told you that the cultures came back negative and your boa does not make have any mucous discharge...I would not worry too much about it. If you start to hear any "gurgling" or "popping" sounds then see a different vet and get another opinion.

Some of our boas tend to breathe a little more heavily than others and have remained healthy for years.
