~~~~o i got a argentine boa last jan. it is little over 5 feet and bout 3 years old. He only has eaten 2 times since i had him. both times were right before he shed. Any ideas to get him to eat more. it seems like he is starting to lose weight. I know force feeding is bad but is it time soon to do that? temps are bout 85 cage is a 75 gal. Have hideaway. everything is right. He pooped a week or so after i got him she he was eating before i got him.
An Argentine that won't eat.............the hot side of your cage should be around 90 and the cool side around 78..........that is what I keep mine at and he eats like a pig.
Have you considered taking this one to a vet for a check up............?
I would have them check a poopie sample for critters.
Good luck and when in doubt go to a good herp vet..........if you do not have one in your area............then post pictures of the boa, your set up and give a lot more detail to the behavior..............maybe someone here can help you. However, this is by no means a replacement for a herp vet..........!!
