Hi all. I am driving back to colorado from california and have to bring my snake buck. It is about 16 hours and I don't know how to pack snakes for a trip. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I never had to do that, but I think a goog snake bag and a Box would do.
I would take her or him out to relax a bit. Or the animal may get stress.
I am not sure, but I hope your trip goes well.

Depending on how many snakes you have... possibly look into getting a styrofoam box. This will help insulate the snake / snakes. We're having winter here, so I think you guys are in Summer, so the cold wont be a problem.
The method I use to transport my snakes is to put them in a snake bag, place that in a styrafoam box and cover with a blanket. This helps maintain the temps inside the box. Obviously make sure the snakes are not in the sun while transporting them. Prefereably drive at night.
Hope some of this info helps.

I agree with bushbaby, and if you want to bring some heat, fill up a couple waterbottles with hot water and put it in the styrofoam-box.

You could also get a converter which you can connect to your car's battery on the and then run a heating pad / cable off it. That works pretty well as well.

Thanks for all of the advice. Only one more question. Buck is 6 feet so how much room should I give her in that box and bag?

Get one big enough so that she fits snuggly into it. You don't want her to move too much while driving, but she also must not feel to cramped up.
