why would you want to breed them if they have ibd???????? ibd is contagious. If all the babies are born with ibd, then you sell them and infect other peoples collections. I think it would be a bad idea.

If you have boas with what you suspect is IBD, or even some other health issue, I have only one suggestion for you!

DO NOT BREED THEM!!!

Perfect health is a minimum requirement if you want to produce, and especially sell, baby boas!

I'm not sure if it's possible or not because most people are too smart to attempt something as foolish and reckless as that so I don't know if it's ever been tried. I would have to assume, however, that the stress of breeding would knock down their immune system and the IBD would kill them before you ever saw any babies. Even if they did survive, nothing good could possibly come out of this pairing so as has been suggested, don't breed them. -Chris
