Hey
I saw this boa at the local pet store (petco) when I went to get some rats and it was just listed as red tail like all the boas they get but this one stood out to me. If you cant tell by the pics he has a really reduced pattern and is very light with a beautiful bright tail. I dont know much about boa mophs but this thing was too nice to leave so I bought it. Can anyone tell me what pattern this is if it is anything special.
Thanks
Pat

what he meant to say was...
"it's a VERY NICE normal."
actually very clean & light for a petco boa, looks like it'll grow up into a beautiful adult! while it is a normal, it is a very nice example, and you should definitely be proud.

Thanks
I didn’t really think that a breeder would let any morphs get through to the pet store to be sold for $140 but I had to check. Just a little wishful thinking I guess. I do love the color and pattern and am glad that I snatched it up before anyone else. That empty cage was driving me crazy anyway.
Just to make sure most pet shop boas are just bci right? Does any body know if there is any local to them or are they mutts? This boa was bought at PetCo if that makes a difference.

I believe the majority of all petshop boas are farm raised columbians. On the brightside.... All that matters about the boa you showed is that you are happy with her. She is a beautiful normal. Good looking boas still slip through the cracks into petshops. You just have to hunt for them. ;D

Thanks dberes
That was what I was thinking I just didnt want to mislable it as a columbian when it was in fact a mix. But I will probably never know for sure so its local will just have to be pet shop boa.
If anyone else has any other opinion I would love to know.
The petco people wernt any help, the guy i had show it to me went for the ball pythons when i asked to see a boa :-/
