good luck getting rid of them..I hate mites...grr, I have had to deal with them 2 times, due to new arrivals...

this is all you ever need to irradicate mites.... read it, follow it, it works.

the mite didnt come from your bedding, it came from a snake.
if it wasnt a mite, well this still kills it, though it may have come from somewhere else.

Yea i knew it didnt come from my bedding but i still changed it....ill be able to see them easyer and stuff...

remember them mites are vector for a lot of Boa's disease, so go ahead and treat all your cages once a month until you're sure you've erradicated the little buggers, I use provent-a mite on all my new snakes cages for at least three months andI check the water dishes when changing for any evidence of mites.
If you feed FT you'll not reinfest your snakes and avoid that petsore substrate some stores have so many mites that even the substrate is contaminated with the egg laying females.
They have a life cycle similar to flea's and the female mite hops off and lays a bunch of eggs and then returns to the snake to feed breed adn hops off and lays more eggs.
you must break the cycle....

I had a small (found one mite)problem with mites a few months back... I found the info that OBZ posted, and did it step by step... havent seen a mite since... or a spider... or a cricket ;D
