Howdy,
Argentine Boas are very similar to Columbian Red Tail Boas size wise: ('Normal' max size) Males 7-8 feet and females 10-12 feet. Of course I suppose they could be power fed up to larger sizes, but wouldn't recommend it.
As far as breeding sizes, this differs somewhat with different peoples personal opinions. In my opinion females should be approximately 6 feet and very thick bodied, males can be as small as 3-4 feet and breed successfully. I prefer my males closer to 5 feet however.
I currently have one breeding pair of Argentines; the female is just under 8ft and the male just under 6ft. I also own several sub-adult argentines and one neonate. The babies are hissy little buggers, but they settle down with age thankfully. Though my gravid female has one heck of a temper if she doesn't feel like being disturbed :(
Oh, and one other note on Argentines, they are a CITES Appendix I species (Endangered Species). This means that import of wild caught snakes is no longer happening (or not supposed to be anyhow). So it is very important (in my opinion) for people to breed them responsibly. I hope to see pure Argentine Boas around for many years to come.
