I am new to Boas and have a question about the scientific names. What is the difference between a BCI and a BCC? I have a Columbian Redtail Boa. Is that a BCI or BCC?
thanks in advance!

The greater majority of the world will tell you that your colombian boa is a BCI (Boa Constictor Imperator). The commonly held stand on this is that any boa from east of the andes mountains is BCC while the ones from the west of there are BCI. It is also commonly held that all the central american boas are BCI.
I have no real proof or knowledge of any of this as there is a VERY prominant member of the think tank who has a different oppinion. :-)
