At my local pet store they have a Central American Boa. I have never heard of this type before and was hoping someone could give some enlightened guidance.

Thanks

you should read the post "disturbing trend" a central american boa could be anything from a mexican to a panama boa and there are many in between I believe simply calling a boa a C.A. is irresponsible I'm sure there are cases when the seller does not know the exact origin of the boa for sale but I'm not sure thats a good excuse. lumping all central american boas under one heading is only going to cause x-breeding.Now if you just want to buy the boa as a pet and you dont plan to breed it I would say go ahead most central american boas dont get big usualy around 5-6 feet so if its healthy and tame and they arent asking a arm and a leg for it go ahead
