I've never had a wild caught boa before. Anybody want to give the pro's and con's. I would say WC's that have been in country for at least 6 months and have eaten and gone through at least one shed are what I would be most interested in. NOT thinking of importing my own, just see plenty for sale and want to know if I should stay away from them.
Thanks, Shawn

I would reccomend staying away from them, besides the fact that there is an abundance of parisites to deal with, Buying imports makes demand for more Imports. There are a lot of CB boas for sale

I agree with Red. It makes no sense to buy WC boas. Unless you see a really unique animal that you would want to breed one day. CB are the same price if not cheaper, easier to acclimate to activity, and like Red pointed out lessens the strain on wild populations. If we all truly love boas, then wild life conservation should be something we support.
Good Luck,

One more thing. Here are some pics of CB common boas that I picked up at local shows. Both were in the neighborhood of $100. I value these animals just as much if not more than any of my more exspensive morphs.

Here's the other. Both CB and truly unique IMO.
