well, you need software to do it. i don't know about the freeware available on the net, but i'm sure you can find something. also, sometimes something as simple as a crop of the photo with whatever software comes with your computer or digi cam will be perfect for the job.
if you have photoshop, you can not only reduce the dimensions of the photo (which will reduce the file size), you can reduce the file size through compression and many times you don't actually lose any (or much) quality.
if you have one or two pics that you'd like to post, email them to me and i'll get them under 100kb for you jbuncc@bellsouth.net. if you do this, let me know if you want the dimensions reduced and/or just the file size. oh, and if you want it cropped, i can do that as well.
or, you can open up a photo account on kingsnake for free and remotely link to it within your post by using the picture tags.
