Albino with a COMPLEX!

Hello All...

I was wondering if any of you have noticed this with any of your albino boas... Or any of your snakes for that matter?

Our albino male likes to wallow all in his poo and seem to make every attempt to get it ALL over him, from his nose to his tail!  :P

.......I think he just wants to be a normal, and this is his way of adding a little color. ;D LOL....

He's the only one out of our nine boas that does this. The rest generally try to get as far away from it as possible.

What do you think? Is he just a weirdo, or is there something more to it? TIA b27.gif

That is rather weird, my females usually get the heck away from it as soon as possible. some of my males don't even seem to care.  Could be something to look up but I don't know of anyone who enjoys studying poop! cwm13.gif  
I have to say that it must be pretty darn disgusting to come home to a snake that was once white only to find it had snickers rubbed all over it....ugggggghhhh

I was outside with her last night cuz I noticed a little tail curling yesterday so instantly I thought it's time to poop. well, she didn't go. So I know it's coming out today. more cleaning for me!!! like you said, the things we do for the love of our animals....it would be nice if we could train the darn things to use the toilet!

I agree.... He's a freak!! But we love him anyway ;).... He's never been much for foriegn films....

I like the potty idea!! Maybe I can get Jeff to install a few of those in the next round of cages we get from him. LOL

Then again, knowing our lttle guys private affinity for his own *expressions*, i would fear he'd accidently flush himself trying to figure out where it all went ::).......

Hey may be he smells some of them girly thing in the pee-d-dapoo' do you keep him with a female??
I ve read somewhere them female boa's let the males know when its that amour time thru urates and such..
ok you boa experts help me out of this ,, whats the straight poop..... ;D

He has always been kept by himself,although in a room with females. And he seems to have no interests in his urates, he gets away from them and generally stays away. But if we don't notice almost immediately after he goes #2, it's poop smear city. EEEEEWWWWW!!! ;)


We do our best to keep a check on it, though.

Yes... He is the only albino in our collection... So he very well might be tring to "fit in". I was thinking(really hoping) that it's just some sort of anti-predation instinct kicking in. :)

But more likely he's just a FREAK!.... But we love him anyway. :'(
