??? my boa agressive???

;) ;) ;)Hi! My boa agressive today and I don't know why. I put my hand in the vivarium to change the water and he open his mouth and hisss at me! Scary!!! He ate 10 days ago a rabbit of 0,300gr and normally he eat at each 16 to 20 days two rats of 0,300gr. Do you think he's maybe hungry? Or maybe I scared him when I put my hand in the vivarium? What do you think?

Thank you because I'm someone who's very nervous about does my boa's sick? Does this? Does that? You know what I mean? lol! ;D

That is simply a boas self defence mechanism kicking in. He might of had a shed on, in the blue as Ratman put it. ;D You might of had a new, strange smell on you, he might of just not wanted to be messed with. He could need a hug, lots of things. Though I wouldn't hug him while he is hissing :(. The best thing to do when your snake gets like that is just to leave him alone and let him settle down on his own. You won't really be able to force him to calm down if he doesn't want to. They get grumpy just like we do, though not for the many of the same reasons.
