Hi, I have a question about my female boa. I bought her 4 months ago and since, she have her mouth open a little bit. She eats very well, she don't make noise when she breed, and I don't think she have mouth rot.

Do you think it coulb be a bad......(abbit) or maybe it's too hot in my vivarium? In the vivarium it's 90F.

Thank you too help me.

I see that nobody wants to help you Striker! I think that people here say that they know about boas and it's not true or maybe it's just that nobody wants to help you!! They should say what they think at least.

Me I think that your boa is not sick because you said that she eats very well. Anyway, like I saw on another post you did, she looks to eat VERY well!!! ;D Maybe your vivarium is a little bit too hot?

Give me news please!

I think you need to read up alittle more about boas. You boa should have a area to cool down at and if the cage is 90 degrees then yea your frying her. That is why she is "panting" she is looking for a way to cool off. In the wild they thermoregulate, if your whole cage is 90 degrees she cant do that. You should only have a "hot spot" that is 90 degrees so that if she feels too cool she can go to the hot spot and thermoregulate. And when you posted that you were feeding your male and female boa I hope that you wernt doing it in the same cage, let alone even in a cage. So have you been bit yet trying to take one out??
Read some more.

Thank you bro but you don't need to be worried for me because I have 2 tanks. The tank for my male is 5ft x 2ft x 2ft and my female tank is 6ft x 2.5ft x 2ft.

Sometimes when boas are done eating they look like they are yawning and they are actuly repositioning thier jaws. And if 90F. is the temperature in the cage that is not a bad of a temperature. Because Ideal temperrature is around 87-89. cwm15.gif

That could be a sign of respiratory infection is she's making funny (popping) noises when breathing, or breathing with her mouth open.
