My male and female boas just hit their maturity age. They are both about 22 months old. They both went off feed. The male is 5'2" 5 lbs 10 oz. THe female is 6'0" 9 lbs 5 oz. I am not worried about them not eating because they are both well fed and healthy and acting normal. I just want to know when I can expect them to eat again. Thanks for your help.

Are these boa housed together or seperately?

This is a time of year that many boas tend to go off feed or slow down their feeding.

If they are housed together it could be a breeding season response and paired boas often go off feed in preparation for the breeding cycle.

However most will continue to eat during these periods even if it is somewhat slowed down.

They are housed separately. I have put them in the same cage a couple of times to do cage maintenance but that is about it. Could putting them together those two times have triggered a breeding response?

It's definately possible. If they were sexually mature boas, and they were together long enough, then it sure could have.

Another sign of this is that most of the time as you place the boas together, it will send one or both of them into an immediate shed cycle.

My male boa just came out of an unexpected shed and the female just ate. I guess I can expect him to eat in March sometime right? Will he go back to his normal feeding schedule or will be eat less. Was feeding him once a week before he stopped eating..
