I was just wondering what the lifespan of a boa ison average? I was told by a ton of people 20 years is average, then I heard 13-15 years, then I heard 25 years! Not that it really matters and my snake will die without this knowledge, just wondering how much time I get with my baby. Thanks.
Put me in the with the ton of people...everything i have ever read says about 20 years on average...
I think the Philadelphia zoo had a columbian boa that lived for over 30 years. And they had a ball python that lived for 40 years!

It is definately all over the board. Mark has quoted from de Vosjoli in the Boa Constrictor Manual. A lot of texts will say 20-25 years. This extended longevity is strictly due to awesome husbandry and environmental conditions. Keep them healthy and they can live a long time. ;D
