hey folks i really need some advice. i just recently purchased a gorgeous female red tail, she eats fine, loves to be handled, has a great temperment, everything about her is perfect except the one fact that she wont poop. it has been almost 2 months since she did last. she is well fed, but i have cut back feedings as of right now. i have read that this is not to far out of the norm for red tails, but it none the less makes me very nervous. can anyone give me some advice on this please?
thanks alot,
chappy

The best thing to try is to soak her in luk warm watter for at lest an hour :). This always works for me, hope this helps ;D. If that doesn't work after a few tries then take her to a vet.

i have tried to soak her many times and it has not worked yet. i took her to the vet today and they told me not to worry about it. its hard to do that tho.

I have a water bowl big enough for my boas to soak in. When they have to go they all like to climb into their bowl and soak till the job is done. Just try leaving a big water bowl in the cage. Maybe she'll do the work her self

Check the humidity first is it at 60% or higher... this will cause the snake not to poop... Second how big is the snake.? Two months is not that long for a boa not to poo... Third do you feed on any type of sudstrate. If you snakes swollws some of it it can get in the it butt lol and make a block up...
Well see ya

hey red never heard humidity over 60% keeps boas from deficating? I've checked weather reports in south America and the humidity is mostly 80% or more
