I figured she might try to get up in here, but I wasn't sure. Turns out I was right.

Should I be concerned about this? I've taken temperature readings with my Raytek, and that part of the cage is no hotter than the warm spot on the floor--surface temperatures are about 90 - 91 F maximum.

And to the best of my knowledge, there's no way she can get trapped in between the mesh and the heat panel face itself, due to the guard I put in there.

All the same, I don't really like it. Opinions?

I can't really tell by the pic but it sounds a little warm, especially with the summer hitting us already. Less heat is a lot better than too much.

Thanks Mark, I went ahead and just pulled the radiant heat panel altogether, replacing it with a human heat pad underneath the cage. I'm sure I'll have to do some tweaking to get everything perfect, but at least I can sleep at night without worrying if she's frying herself up there.

Thanks!

Hehehe...ever since I took that radiant panel out, she keeps looking up into that corner to see if it's come back.

Busted! LOL
