Well, my big pretty male Hezphestus has pneumonia. Three varieties to be exact (one of them not common to snakes). He's on injections of antibiotics and an immune stimulant. I found out why he was "half-off" last spring when I bought him (sigh). I've upped is cage temp to the mid 80's on the cool end. I can't up the humidity because the pneumonia bugs like it muggy. He gets a warm bath every other day, a face spray with some antibiotics/antifungal stuff from the vet. He's got plenty of weight on him and a good appetite. I've had to cut back on his feedings though because the food presses against his lung which is only working at about 60-76%.
Aside from the wheezing, snot, and lungs with liquid in them, he's pretty normal.
So...my question for ya'll is this:
Does anyone have any other ideas on how to help him get better sooner???
All ideas are appreciated,
Siri
