Hello everyone I was hoping someone could help me out or at least give me some peice of mind.
My little youngster Guyana has not shed since he was purchased in early february, I was told he had shed right before I received him but three months to me is a long time. I know that boas grow more slowly than a python for example but I assume a baby boa should shed at least once every 40 days or so.
Also, if a snake doesn't shed for a long time could it possibly indicate a health problem? or will it promote a certain health risk? Perhaps I'm a little impatient but I can't help but be concerned. Other than that he seems healthy except for the fact that he refuses f/k hoppers and does not constrict them before eating them, he prefers eating them while they're still alive(weird)
Any advise or info would great
Thanks,
Patrick
