I have a friend who is taking care of a male boa for a friend. The boa is almost a year old. It hasn't eaten in three weeks. It also doesn't have the very good control of the front third of its body. The owner of the boa would inject the food with Vitamin C every meal. Don't really know how much Vit C the boa was given with every feeding. I am thinking that it is possibly a Vit C overdose but don't know the symptoms of a Vit C overdose. If anyone could help me try to figure out what could possibly be wrong with this boa then that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Sounds like it might be something Neurological.
I can't think of a reason to give vit. "c" to a boa but that doesn't mean that there isn't a good reaon. Mabe somebody else can make a more intellegent comment on the subject.
Loss of motor control also is a sign of IBD.
Best thing is a trip to the local Herp. Vet.

Definitely time for a vet. (It will be expensive). I really don't know why a snake would need extra vit c? Vit d maybe, to help calcium absorption.
Definitely vet time....whatever is wrong it sounds serious.
