my husband and i both have found that a good bath... yep, a soak in the tub... with a large rock in the tub with our snakes is the best way to help with unshed head skin... they can do it themselves that way, and run less risk with hurting their eyes. it is very important to help, though. so keep the snakes moist and warm, and give them something abrasive to rub against! (not too sharp... a smooth boulder will do. try a pet store and get an aquarium rock and sterilize it for them. we live close to the beach and found our rock there.)
