I need a question answered. I live in a rural part of NYS. Though about 60 miles from NYC, my water well contains sulphur. According to the local folks here, it is safe to drink. It just omits a foul odor and nothing more. My question: Is it safe to give it to a snake for drinking purposes? And I guess if it is, it must be safe to let it bathe in it too. Currently, we give our snake bottled water but I was hoping good old fashioned sulphur tap water would suffice. Please reply.

HI,
I use well water in my fish tanks they seem to thrive in it
I would age the water for a couple days and the odor may go away? cwm8.gif

Thank you for your reply regarding sulfur water. I decided not to take any chances when it comes to the snake's health. For now, Bobo lives on Poland Spring Water but I think he's developing a taste for Perrier water,,,,,, LOL Stay well!

Hi

I lived in south Fla. for a while and I know what you meanabout the foul smell. you can boil the water to help the sulfer to evaporate. and get a pur water filter. It won't hurt the snakes to drink the water, just cut down on the maskito bites. sulfer is a natural repelant. cwm4.gif
