1st and for most never listen to a pet store... Don't get me wrong.. There are some pet stores out there that are good but they represent like less then 1% of them..
a vet can always help you.. a vet may not be able to help out jeff with a problem like this but you they can... Never and I mean never leave a boa alone in water.. My snake has had this problem..
It was from not eating enuf and she was real week and not really big enuf to shed out of the skin... My girlfriend was trying to keep it small.. In genral if a boa does not shed it is because it is week or in way to low of humidity situation.. Now I don't know if this is what is going wrong with your snake but I need some info...
has the snake went in to a shed latly?
how long have you had this snake...??
How big is this snake and how often do you feed it??
what size prey do you feed?
Has this snake shed while you have had it.?
do you know anybody that has bought a boa from this pet store?
What is the humidity read in the cage...??
Get back with these answers and a pic if possible and may be I can help you.. But even if I can't I bet sombody will be able to..
