Thus far in mine and Nicks journey, I have had him out for AT LEAST a couple hours a day, not all at once tho, and except for the 48 hours I gave him after he ate. Is there to much, or should I have him out as much as I can?

Oscar wants to be out 24/7 but he knows when he's in his cage he's supposed to be there and has never attempted an escape. But everything is fine, take him out as much as absolutly possible! If he doesn't want to be held or wants to go back in his cage he will become wildly finiky or even hiss, but i've only heard of a couple snakes ever hissing out of the blue; just look for him wanting to get away. Usually in baby boas they don't care either way and will want to be held at all time, and this just makes for them to act like this as adult, which obvisouley a good thing. -sTEVE
p.s. I usually get board with holding my boa before he does-- which is after about 2 hours or so. -sTEVE
Ya they say just look for signs of stress... You know like trying franticly to get away... jumpy stuff like that... You don't want the snake to have a bad time...
Most boas are real good at the being held thing... I think they see us as a big heating pad...

lol, well ya red, we're average a 98.6 temp on the inside and then wearing clothes it warms them up, I always have my snakes trying to get in my clothes, if im reading or watching tv or on the computer I just let them and then about 3 hours later I goto move and accidently feel this big bulbus lump, lol -sTEVE
