Humidity test

I cleaned my snake tank this morning. He pooped on the branch I have in his tank so I cleaned the branch and put it back in the tank. Due to the moisture on the branch the humidity increased from 50% to 72%. Is this a good way to increase the humidity or will it damage the wood and cause problems?

nah, it may grow mold after time though, most people keep humidity up by soaking cage furniture. -sTEVE
