I noticed in a lot of posts people talking about 40%, 50%, 60% humidity and so on. I was wondering what you guys use to measure your humidity in cages and where I can find them? Thanks -Kyle

Thanks a lot Steve! I noticed you have been the one responding to most of my post the last couple days and I appreciate your feedback. Where do you keep you guage at the back wall of your cage by your thermostat, or does it even matter? Thanks -Kyle

the air in the cage is all about the same humidity wise so I just slap it right on the middle of the back wall. Well you see what my saying says, "Live to reply; Reply to live O_o" I justy try and repsond to anything I know I know, I just stay away from the hard ones and not bs. =)

I would suggest going with a digital humidity gauge. That you can pick up at walmart or any other lawn and garden center for about $15.00 to $20.00 its a little more expensive but I personaly think the ones in the pet store are CR :-X P!! They usually give an inacurate reading but, thats just my opinion..good luck.

Yeah I think Wal-Mart is the way to go on this 1. I bought some the other day. They were only 15 bux and they not only measure humidity but temp in 2 places(at the unit and with a probe. Digital readout of all 3 simultaneously. I have the unit in the cooler end with the probe going to the hotter end but I'm sure you could do it any way you want. Hope that helps. -Chris

pshh whateva, I like the analog's myself, I just think they look better and the readings are fairly accurate. Though in school I am making a schematic for digital thermometers/hydrometers. -sTEVE

Thanks for the advice guys! Too late though I went out last night and purchased an analog one. Not too worried though it should work fine as long as its close enough. Thanks -Kyle
