Then you should know what kind of boa this is. This is a wild boa photographed in the wild. Can you tell what form of boa this is?

Nope
But with the dark pigment and white eyes I can see why you made that guess. Your answer was interesting to me because it shows that wild boas from completly different locals can look very simular.

I wish I could Jeff. That boa was photographed in the wild and is the only photo I have. Unless he's been killed he still crawls the jungle. Or what's left of it.
HINT: Captive examples of this form are MUCH more colorful. :(

The Boa looks as though it may have been photographed on one of the wild stairways of Panama. Just a guess as many of the Central American forms look a lot like that animal. The brown color in the tail is most reminiscent most often of Panamanian type animals to me. That is my experience.

You are very close Jeff..... But here is the answer....

You will find it's photo about 3/4 way down.
The very white eyes, thin even saddles and large round side medallions are common in Roatan Bci.

By the way; Roatan is an Island off the coast of Honduras.

17 years ago I purchased 12 Honduran Boas. These were at the Minnesota Zoo and had been seized from a local pet shop owner who made numerous mistakes on his paperwork. Anyhow I had 13 of the meanest Boa Constrictors in the world. Some looked similar to this animal. Several were nearly black as coal. I wish I had the ability to take good photographs back then. One of them had pattern that was barely perceptible it was so black. If some dealer had gotten it, he certainly would have tried to sell it as a melanistic animal. Two of the Boas looked exactly like Colombian Boas. So much so that it would be hard for a lot of people to believe that they came from Honduras. Anyhow, the point is it isn't possible to determine exactly where an animal came from just looking at a picture. You can guess with some degree of probability of being correct but the only way to know is to know it. Otherwise it is only a guess. I bought five animals last year. They were babies all from the same litter that had been dumped on a fellow at a show in the Chicago area. They look Central American. I am 99% sure they are Central American, but there are a lot of places in Central America. So where do their parents originate from? Who knows. ;D

Darn! I wish I saw this post sooner, because she looked like my honduran. The tail and head color give them away every time!
Later,
