What do you mean weezing in and out of the water?
And yes there are some ways to tell your boa has an RI.
bubbles coming from the nostrils.
Wheezing while breathing like you said?
open mouth breathing, with possibly the head raised off of the ground to help with easier breathing.
If this is the case i myself would steer clear of this boa and tell the owner of it to get it to a vet to have it checked out..
Good luck

I agree and never take a treated animal till a Vet gives it a Clean Bill of Health. Some snakes can react well to meds and heal quicker then others then again others dont.
Another question...........Why is the snake in the water ?

The snake was in the water for exercise and to help digest the meal he ate
