Hi, I'm new to the forum. I've been lurking for a while but thought it was about time I joined in!

Last week my female Striped Boa (from the Polish Zig Zag line) delivered her first litter of 18 babies after 101 days POS. I was also fortunate enough to witness the whole thing, 20mins from start to finish.

All of the babies had some form of connecting tail saddles, some with great stripes. Interestingly, 7 of the babies had a very light 'hypo' appearance which has been seen in this line before & therefore appears to be genetic.

Both of the parents had tail stripes, but neither had the 'hypo' appearance, therefore possibly het for 'hypo'??

Heres a picture of the adults mating in January......

Most of the Striped Boas have now shed & are looking even better.

From the result of this & previous breeding with this line, it appears that the stripe is dominant & the 'Hypo' appearance is recessive, but this needs to be confirmed following further breedings.

Heres a picture of one of the 'Hypo' looking babies. The colour of these pale Zig Zag line boas seems to intensify as they mature, with the tail turning bright red.

These two shots show the contrast between the normal coloured babies & the 'Hypo' looking siblings.
