I would like to know when everyone feeds their boas while courtship is still taking place. I have a pair that has been together since 12/26. In the past 6 weeks, the male took his first break on 3/1. I seperated them, fed each a small meal, and placed the male back in with the female 48 hours later. The male started to continue to court her right away. What I want to know is, do you wait for the male to take a break before you feed each or should I have a more set schedule and take the male off of her in order to separate and feed?
Thanks for any tips!

Dennis,
I prefer to wait for a break in the action and then remove the male. I just don't see the need to stress either animal. The only exception was a little 18 month old worm of a male. Due to his size he was very easy to remove. I felt it was important to feed him regularly because of his size/age, I didn't want him to run out of steam! IMO feeding a rat or two to both animals during courtship can be beneficial! Especially for the females and small males. Just my .02 worth :).
