I've seen the axanthic ball pythons over at Ralph Davis' site, and wow, talk about impressive coloration. I'm not really into pythons (and definitely not able to afford those prices), though, so I'm just wondering if there's any such thing as an axanthic boa constrictor? From the browsing that I've done, I've come away with the conclusion that they simply don't / can't exist, although I don't really know why. Anyone care to shed some light on the subject?

Thanks!

hey steve they might be out there, but the problem is that yellow doesn't show up until boas get older. That is why albinos looks so white and nice as babys but adults look yellow.

I could be wrong about this( and I probally am) but I would think they could occur naturally....we have a pair that are almost 3 years old now and have absolutely no yellow or brown to them at all...they are both grey with alot of purple and pinks running thru them....almost colored like most Guyanans (just not as pretty) but still a nice snake...now I havent ever really put any thought as to wether they were axanthic or not...but in the truest sense of the word they both would be.....just my thoughts on it...
