Have any of you had problems getting your males to feed again after breeding season? I have a Ronne Pastel male that has always been a great feeder and never refused a meal until now after his first breeding season. He has bred several females this season and has been going at it off and on since November!
We have tried leaving it in the cage overnight and he just doesnt show interest. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated!

I don't know how long it will take, but he will eventually eat. My males did the same thing. My largest male just started eating 2 weeks ago. It was his first meal since Oct. I'm still waiting for my smallest male to eat, but his last meal was late Dec. My meduim size male never stopped eating, but he wasn't in with the female for very long. All of my males are fairly good eaters. but they've never had the appitite the females do. None of my females have eaten since Dec. I did use a very small fresh killed rat to get the large male to eat. He took a large frozen/thawed minutes after eating the small rat. He's already pooped and is ready to eat again tomorrow. I feed every two weeks. If they don't eat they have to wait another 2 weeks before food is offered again. It sounds mean, but it works most of the time. They get used to a certian schedule and expect food when feeding day comes.
Good luck,
Linda :)
