I really need some advice please..
My 12yr old BCI was bred for the first time in Oct/Nov
(following the Boa Manual and Boaphile videos)
She had her post-ov shed on Nov. 13th. She is
currently 120 days past the post-ov shed. She had
her pre-birth waxy stool approx 11 days ago... and is
now deep in blue. They are supposed to shed *after*
giving birth from what I understand so it seems she is
failing to give birth. Has anyone gone thru this before?
Any advice? Reading "What's wrong with my snake"
(rossi&rossi) it says injections of calcium or Ox..(forgot
the name) may be needed to induce labor. Any advice
for me? I am really worried about her.. thanks.

WOW! I wish I could tell you when she would have babies. I wish I could tell you not to worry. I've been reading your posts on the kingsnake forum as well and I've been worrying right along with you. I keep expecting to see a post that she's finally given birth. I'm just learning about due dates and ovulation. I've had a pair of boas have babies before, but I never knew she was gravid. I just went to clean the cage and babies were there. That was 20 years ago. This year is the first time I'm actually trying to make them breed on purpose. I think the waiting is the worse part. I hope you keep us updated on how she does. I've seen pictures of Autumn and she's a beautiful boa. I'm sure her babies will be just as beautiful.
Good luck,
Linda :)

Just wanted to post an update.. no babies yet but I
believe I miscalculated and what I thought was the
post-ov shed really wasn't. I'm just going to keep my
fingers crossed but I won't be expecting much.. (slugs..)
thanks for the well wishes!!
