myth!

2004 Jungle Male - This guy has some really hard to pick up coloration. From some angles / lighting it barely shows the color... in others it shows up well. I picked out the ones that are the best representation.

I personally believe that breeding will produce colors that will shatter computer screens!! I couldn't imagine breeding one of the EBV Jungle males to an Albino to produce Jungle Pastels het for Albinos. WOW!!!!! :-X

That is one awesome animal, Ryan! What a great find.

I have heard for a long time that it is easy to pick a Jungle out of a bunch of normals but until very recently I had not had the opportunity to do so. It is true that it is easy to determine the difference, however it is sometimes difficult to portray the difference with a photo because of the subtle differences in coloration. This, in my opinion, has sparked much of the recent controversy regarding the Jungle trait.

I am a bit envious of all the nice boas that you seem to be collecting these days. Man, do you have a BUNCH of Topnotch stock. Thank you for sharing.

Denny ;D

Thanks Denny and Stevo.

I agree with ya Denny on the jungle controversy issue. Of course there are going to be borderlines and yes it is possible that there could be some that are just too close to call, but for the most part they should be easily distinguishable. I havent produced a jungle litter yet obviously but I can gather that just from the many Jungles I have seen ... and the many normals I have seen. If I am (hopefully) successful this season I will get some accurate comparison shots between jungle/normal siblings with my shiny new camera :'(.
