OK, My female is due on the 28th of this month, if I counted right. Yesterday she did a poop that was really different. Is the pre-birth waxy stool easy to recognise? Would I know what it was if I saw it or would it just look like a really "different" sort of a poop? She still looks really big, like she's going to pop at any minute. The scales are spread apart and it looks she needs to take a serious dump, except she hasn't eaten in almost 4 months. I know I can't count my boas before they're born, but from the description does it sound like there should be something inside her? I'd even settle for a good guess. LOL.
Thanks,
Linda :D

:D hello linda, sorry i dont have any idea what to expect at the time of birth.  i have read about the
female eating a week or ten days prior to giving
birth and excreating a waxy stoul though.  my female
is also swelled up and i believe she is pregnant but
who knows, she hasn't eatten for months, i just gave
her a small rat and nothing.  i dont know what to do
and i'm getting worried.  lets just hope for the best
good luck.  o.k.

Thanks for the reply Hardrider,
I know what you mean about being worried. I actually decided to take my girl to the vet. I took all my records with me as well. He examined her very gently and looked at my records. He believes she's gravid, but she's not due yet. He didn't do an ultra sound, which is what I was hoping he'd do. He said he could "feel" something in her. Since she hadn't eaten in so long he felt she either has babies or infertile ova. She's not in distress and that's why he feels it's not time yet. Anyway going by my records he gave me a new due date. Now we think she's due in early June. She had a halfway point shed and he thinks that may have been her Post-Ovulation shed. In my own records I mentioned that she had gotten much larger before she shed. Now if she doesn't have babies or pass something after she's 10 days past her new due date he wants to do an ultra sound. He wants me to contune to offer food. He wants me to leave her alone except for feeding, watering, and cleaning her cage. He said, "under no circumstance should I pick her up again!". If I must clean the cage I should coax her to the other side of the cage and clean the half she's not on. Then do the same to the other side of the cage the same way. He said to use warm water to wash the cage and nothing else until after she gives birth or passes her due date. If I notice that she's in distress then I should bring her back in for a recheck. Then he charged me $20.00 and sent me home. I don't know why he didn't charge me more than that, but I'm not going to question him on his pricing. LOL. I'll probably still worry about her, but now I feel a little better.
Thanks again,
Linda
