I had a female BCI drop a couple weeks early. The clutch contained 11 premies and 25 slugs. Some of the slugs looked really nasty. Could some of these have been retained from last year? I bought this female last fall and bred her shortly after that. I don't know anything about her history prior to that. On a good note, I have managed to keep 5 of the 11 premies alive, and they are all doing pretty well. Any comments on the slugs would be appreciated.
