OK... Here goes. Just remember you asked for it ;)...
A Hypo to a Snow...
Approximately 1/2 the clutch would be Hypo het for Sunglow/Ghost.... the rest would be Normal het for snow.
Now then...
A hypo het for sunglow/ghost X hypo het for sunglow/ghost... Well, that one makes my head hurt just thinking about it.. but I'm gonna try...Any other genetic smarty pants out there, PLEASE feel free to critique this...
There's a 1 in 16 for just a Sunglow/Ghost, 1 in 32 for a co-dominant Sunglow/Ghost... There is also a 1 in 32 chance that you would produce a normal boa, het for nothing.
So...lets make this virtual clutch have 32 babies... I'm thinking this will make it easier...My brain is already getting tired.... Here is what might come from it...
Normal...1 out of 32
Normal 66% het for snow...2 of 32
Albino 66% het for snow...4 of 32
Anerythristic 66% het for snow.. 4 of 32
Hypos 66% het for snow/ghost(50% poss. co-dominant)...11 of 32
Sunglow(50% poss. co-dominant) 66% het for Ghost... 4 of 32
Ghost(50% poss. co-minant) 66% het for Sunglow... 4 of 32
Sunglow/Ghost(50% poss. co-dominant)... 2 of 32
I am sure it's not exactly right, but really, really close!
Being obsessed is FUN!!!!!! cwm4.gif
Any other takers? cwm11.gif

thank you gents.......sorry about the hurting head(I make alot of peoples heads hurt) after reading and then re reading to understand completely am I assuming that the 2 sunglow ghosts are going to apear to be red snows? I realize not completley red but you know what I am after I am sure.
thanks again for the trouble.

A Sunglow/Ghost will not be a red Snow because of the anerythrystic gene that comes into play. Anerythristic as I understand it means NO red. My fear in that situation is that it would look just like a snow(probably having the bowtie saddles that most Hypo's have), and you would not be able to tell the diff between it and a Snow. It may IMO end up being VERY lavender. The main value besides being quite 8), would be that it will be homozygous for albino, anery, and 50% possibly co-dominant Hypo also...
Just food for thought, and just my opinion... No need for a head-ache on this one! ;D

But then again it wouldnt just be a 8) it would also be a ghost and a sunglow just some more food for thought

When I finally get around to producing a ghost and a sunglow, one project I am gonna try is to breed the ghost to the sunglow to produce hypos double het for snow, then Ill breed the kids together to see what happens :)
