This is a two year old female. Do you think she'll be ready to breed this year? Or should I hold off? I was thinking of pairing her up with a male in November. She would be nearly 2 1/2 years old at that time. Right now she is fat and healthy!
Thanks in Advance,
Oz

At first I didn't know why that $100 bill was sitting there and then realized it was there as a tip for whoever answered this question first. That is extremely generous! Thanks Oz!
Looks like it to me. I'd definitely give her a shot! Feed her HUGE OLD rats till then. This will put more fat on her which she will need for breeding.
I normally charge $250 minimum for this sort of consultation but in this case $100 will be fine.
Thanks Boss!

Nice try Ritchie! I would give it to you for pamper money, but I know you would buy more snakes instead! Actually, that Hundred Dollar Bill belongs to Bode! LOL. Hey why don't yopu stop holding out and post a pic of that 9 footer. She is sweet! I want a pic of her next time I'm over!

she has 2 four pound bunnies inside of her right now.
I sorta wanted to see how she would look if she was gravid.....
Welp with the bunnies inside her.....now I know.
did bode get the boa from you this weekend?
oh nevermind...I work with the guy...I will just ask him.
I have not introduced him to the boi yet.
because if we both post from work.....someone will think he is my spuedo personality. They might think he is made up like Jesse Underhill makes people up....
anyway...any new boas at your place?
do you have any other males that could knock up big bertha?

I thought that i have seen that before. The Green Snake. The albino is very good looking and will have great looking babies.

How much does she weigh and how long is she? I have a female that will be 2 1/2 years old this winter and she is big and healthy also. I wanted to compared her to yours. Thanks.

She's about 5 1/2 feet long. Not sure what she weighs... I need a scale. I had a few people look at her and they are all saying she's ready. She was a very fast grower. And I did not power feed her. I still feed her small meals and she has a very strong grip!

My female is 6 1/2 feet long and about 13 lbs now. She eats chickens and/or 1.5 lbs rabbits. I think she might me ready by the winter time. Although I may have to sit her out for a year cause I may have to go to Korea. Hopefully I don't have to go though.

Definately won't hurt to put a male in with her... 51/2 to 6 feet females can surely breed, sometimes it takes a good breeding male to make it all happen..
If you have a proven breeding male then use him..
And good luck...

How much did she weigh prior to breeding her? I am still trying to find what is a food breeding weight for my female. She is big enough to breed this year and her age is ok. I just want to make sure she has the body weight to do it also.

not sure on the weight.
I just look at them.
The way I figure it.....if they are as big as a coke can...
Then I might try...Otherwise...
I don't want to risk it.
